Why couples elope at Bell Haven
An elopement is a wedding with the volume turned down. At Bell Haven that means a family-owned estate in Dayton, Tennessee — garden walkways, gazebos, flowing fountains, a koi pond and open-air spaces tucked into the trees — reserved for one celebration at a time. You will never share the venue with another wedding, event or group, which is what makes an elopement here feel private rather than small.
The Elopement Experience is a Monday-to-Friday package built for exactly this: three hours of private estate access for up to 20 guests, an outdoor ceremony location with a scenic natural backdrop, use of the bridal suite, access to select photography locations across the property, guest parking and flexible ceremony setup options, for $2,000.
Who it suits
It is the right fit for couples who want to say their vows surrounded by nature with only their closest people present, for vow renewals, for private ceremonies, for weekday celebrations, and for destination couples who want a simple estate wedding in Tennessee without planning a full event. If your guest list is growing past twenty, or you want a reception on the grounds afterwards, the Intimate Estate Wedding is the next step up.
Getting here
Bell Haven sits at 186 Kinzalow Dr. in Dayton, Tennessee, in the Tennessee Valley under an hour north of Chattanooga. Couples travelling in can fly into Chattanooga and be on the property the same afternoon, and the cabins on the estate mean a small party can stay close by — ask us about lodging when you inquire.
Timing and seasons
Spring and fall dates fill first at Bell Haven, so if you have a month in mind, reach out early; an elopement needs far less lead time than a full wedding, but the best weekday afternoons still go quickly. Late afternoon is the hour most couples choose: the field catches long golden light and the pond settles for evening portraits. We talk through a rain plan with every couple, so a grey forecast does not have to move your date.
Vendors, pets and the small details
You are welcome to bring your own officiant, florist and photographer, or we can recommend trusted local professionals. Pets are often welcome — we love seeing four-legged family in a ceremony — so tell us about yours when you inquire and we will do our best to accommodate them.
How to book
Request a tour and we will walk the property with you, show you the ceremony spots and the bridal suite, and hold a date once you have chosen one. Weekday elopements book directly with our Venue & Wedding Coordinator, who stays with you from the first tour to the ceremony itself.
